You must be client focused and work well on teams, with strong communication and creativity.

Role description:

We are seeking a Senior Consultant with 4+ years of relevant experience to fill a key role within the EMEA team, based in London. In addition to competently demonstrating skills and credentials of a Consultant, Senior Consultant would need to contribute to the client relationship and be actively involved in defining client deliverables. Our Senior Consultants also: manage projects with Director level supervision, have additional line management responsibility, and are responsible for developing new business through own network of peers.

We are looking for the following skills and abilities:

Client relationships

  • Deliver work to a high quality which meets the needs of clients with minimal to no senior leadership supervision
  • Accurate understanding and interpretation of client needs
  • Identify relevant data and translate into a clear and compelling narrative for clients
  • Manage client relationships and project teams, overseen by a Director or Associate Director
  • Define and agrees scope of work and deliverables, depending on the project size and complexity

Project management

  • Devise and management of budgets under supervision
  • Optimise project teams and manage junior colleagues
  • Manage projects within scope and budget to avoid over servicing

New business development

  • Develop new business opportunities through own network and using understanding of CC service lines
  • Develop new business proposals to a high standard
  • Proactively seek opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
  • High competency of 1-2 CC service lines
  • Leading on thought leadership and following up to secure new business
  • Increase revenue by cross-selling and upselling to existing clients on the back of existing projects

People skills

  • Competently line manage junior colleagues
  • Coach and mentor colleagues within and outside of client teams

The successful candidate will join a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and growing team. Working under supervision and with a strong team of junior colleagues to support them, this person will manage the delivery of a portfolio of client projects.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Consultant with 2-3 years relevant experience to join the EMEA team based in London, UK. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop their career in a supportive and collaborative environment, working with a wide range of projects and clients in the sustainability space. The position will suit a professional with a positive, entrepreneurial way of working, enthusiasm for team working and a passion for the global sustainability agenda. You must be client focused and work well on teams, with strong communication and creativity.

We are looking for the following skills and abilities:

Technical

  • Expertise and knowledge of the sustainability field ideally linked to 1 or 2 of our service lines.

Consulting (with support):

  • Accurately understand and interpret client needs
  • Input into and potentially lead on the presentation and content of client deliverables, delivering work to a high quality
  • Gather data using a range of techniques
  • Draw conclusions and present findings from data analysis
  • Be able to effectively plan and manage your own time
  • Support client teams to work within time and allocated budget, with some independent management of timelines and budgets for smaller projects

Business development (with support)

  • Develop a network of contacts in order to build a pipeline of leads
  • Aide in team wide new business initiatives
  • Develop and lead on new business proposals, depending on size and complexity
  • Proactively seek opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients

Leadership

  • Contribute to wider CC initiatives
  • Contribute to thought leadership, blogging, webinars and article writing.

People skills

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior or new peers, with possible line management responsibilities
  • Be a strong team player
