Associate Director

Role description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Corporate Citizenship (“CC”) as an Associate Director / Senior Consultant in a successful team delivering sustainability advisory and assurance services. We are seeking a seasoned management consultant with experience of delivering a range of sustainability services to clients in the UK and EMEA. Working under the supervision of a Director, the Associate Director / Senior Consultant will manage the delivery of a portfolio of client projects and develop a strong team of junior colleagues to support them. The successful candidate will have line management responsibilities and will build out a portfolio of new business through their own peer-group network, with support from their Director.

MAIN SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical skills

  • Growing reputation externally as a subject matter expert in sustainability services.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and confidence working with complex spreadsheets.
  • Extensive experience of client project delivery in the following areas: environmental and climate change strategy development, including climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies, climate change scenario analysis, Science-based Targets, environmental data assurance, GHG emissions accounting (including Scope 3 value chain emissions), CDP reporting and DJSI reporting.

Tasks

  • Deliver work independently to a high-quality standard which meets the needs and expectations of clients.
  • Accurate understanding and interpretation of client needs from the project proposal and interactions with clients.
  • Analysing data objectively and, where relevant, consistently with international standards.
  • Interpreting this data into a clear and compelling narrative for clients.
  • Leading and contributing to client workshops, with support from colleagues.
  • Presenting project analysis and recommendations to clients.

Client relationships

  • Client lead for project delivery and main point of contact on client projects.
  • Manages client relationships and project teams, overseen by the team Director.
  • Defines and agrees scope of client work and project deliverables, depending on the project size and complexity.

Project management

  • Calculation and management of project budgets, with supervision from team Director.
  • Optimising the resourcing mix of project teams and managing junior colleagues.
  • Disciplined project management within scope and budget to avoid over-servicing.

New business development

  • Developing new business opportunities through own external network and understanding of CC’s service lines for sustainability services and other areas of responsible and sustainable business.
  • Development of new business proposals to a high standard.
  • Proactively seeking opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
  • Contributing to sustainability services thought leadership and following up to secure new business.
  • Increasing CC’s revenue by cross-selling and upselling to existing clients on the back of existing projects.

People skills

  • Competently and confidently line-manage junior colleagues.
  • Coaching and mentoring of colleagues within and outside of client delivery teams.
  • Training junior colleagues on technical environmental topics including GHG accounting, target setting, physical and transition climate change risks, and other areas as required.

LBG Membership Manager

Role description:

We are looking for a senior manager to join on a full-time basis. This role will sit in a small team dedicated to LBG and supported by a broader team of consultants.

The role has three key elements of the role:

  • Managingthe LBG Network
    • You will lead the annual work plan for the LBG Network in UK\EMEA based in London, ensuring that members are receiving value and maintaining high retention rates. Activities will include strategic planning, service delivery, event planning, business development, communications, and people management.
  • Growingthe LBG Network
    • You will drive and participate in business development to attract companies to join the LBG Network, both in the UK and abroad. LBG has ambitious plans to grow in the UK and internationally. This role will work alongside others to promote the LBG brand, identify prospective members and run new business activities.
  • Help developthe LBG Framework
    • You will apply your subject matter expertise on community investment, strategy and shared value to help evolve the LBG Framework. LBG continues to develop, reflecting the changing practices of community investment. This role will help develop new methodology, guidance and tools that promote best practice in maximising the positive social impact of business.

Role description:

This is a key role within Corporate Citizenship. In addition to competently demonstrating skills and credentials of a Consultant, Senior Consultant would need to contribute to the client relationship and be actively involved in defining client deliverables. Also manages projects with Director level supervision and has additional line management responsibility. Responsible for developing new business through own network of peers.

Environmental Consultant
