Charlotte Slaven

Researcher, London
Specialisms:
I am responsible for collating the Corporate Citizenship Briefing, a short daily CSR and sustainability news roundup sent out each lunchtime. As the Research Intern, I also provide ad-hoc support to the wider team and have a particular interest in the operationalisation of ideas of sustainability (for example those embodied in the SDGs) within corporate settings.

Background:
I have completed both a BA in Geography at the University of Cambridge and an MA in Climate Change: History, Culture, Society at King’s College London. Alongside my studies I have volunteered with the climate change NGO 350.org, working on a national university divestment campaign, and with the Bretton Woods Project, working on projects regarding the IMF and World Bank’s positioning of environmental issues and gender.

Person I Most Admire:
The Pacific Climate Warriors - a group of young Pacific Islanders refusing to be passive victims of climate change.
