Associate Director – Environmental: London, United Kingdom

We are seeking an Associate Director with experience of delivering a range of environmental services to clients in the UK and EMEA. Working under the supervision of a Director, the Associate Director will manage the delivery of a portfolio of client projects and develop a strong team of junior colleagues to support them.

MAIN SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical skills

  • Growing reputation externally as a subject matter expert in environmental services.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and confidence working with complex spreadsheets.
  • Extensive experience of client project delivery in the following areas: environmental and climate change strategy development, including climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies, climate change scenario analysis, Science-based Targets, environmental data assurance, GHG emissions accounting (including Scope 3 value chain emissions), CDP reporting and DJSI reporting.

Tasks

  • Deliver work independently to a high-quality standard which meets the needs and expectations of clients.
  • Accurate understanding and interpretation of client needs from the project proposal and interactions with clients.
  • Analysing data objectively and, where relevant, consistently with international standards.
  • Interpreting this data into a clear and compelling narrative for clients.
  • Leading and contributing to client workshops, with support from colleagues.
  • Presenting project analysis and recommendations to clients.

Client relationships

  • Client lead for project delivery and main point of contact on client projects.
  • Manages client relationships and project teams, overseen by the team Director.
  • Defines and agrees scope of client work and project deliverables, depending on the project size and complexity.

 Project management

  • Calculation and management of project budgets, with supervision from team Director.
  • Optimising the resourcing mix of project teams and managing junior colleagues.
  • Disciplined project management within scope and budget to avoid over-servicing.

New business development

  • Developing new business opportunities through own external network and understanding of CC’s service lines for environmental services and other areas of responsible and sustainable business.
  • Development of new business proposals to a high standard.
  • Proactively seeking opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
  • Contributing to environmental services thought leadership and following up to secure new business.
  • Increasing CC’s revenue by cross-selling and upselling to existing clients on the back of existing projects

People skills

  • Competently and confidently line-manage junior colleagues.
  • Coaching and mentoring of colleagues within and outside of client delivery teams.
  • Training junior colleagues on technical environmental topics including GHG accounting, target setting, physical and transition climate change risks, and other areas as required.

Senior Consultant: London, United Kingdom

Role description

This is a key role within Corporate Citizenship. In addition to competently demonstrating skills and credentials of a Consultant, Senior Consultant would need to contribute to the client relationship and be actively involved in defining client deliverables. Also manages projects with Director level supervision and has additional line management responsibility. Responsible for developing new business through own network of peers.

We are currently looking for a Consultant with 3-5 years of experience of environmental sustainability for our London office.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside our global team members on a variety of projects, carrying out research and analysis, working directly with clients and contributing to the development of new business opportunities.

Associate Director: New York, North America

Job Description

Reporting to the Regional Director, North America, The Associate Director will be responsible for leading multiple projects, colleagues and client teams; developing client relationships and new business through international networking and leadership; and designing and growing a new part of CC’s business.

MAIN SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Shape the strategy for growth:

  • Lead development of a new service or practice area for the business globally
  • Contribute to the strategy for growth in North America by helping to shape thought leadership and define and engage target clients
  • Generate new business through increased service offering to existing clients
  • Lead on thought leadership by writing articles, speaking at conferences and events

Deliver outstanding client management and coach / mentor teams:

  • Client lead for several clients managing multiple projects – with approximately 50% client delivery and 50% new business / thought leadership / other
  • Manage client service delivery across service lines
  • Proactively manage clients to broaden and deepen client relationships
  • Network on an international scale to develop further new business opportunities
  • Deliver work to a high quality in multiple disciplines and countries with no supervision
  • Proactively mentor and manage colleagues’ development within client teams
  • Effectively manage client teams, projects and team members
  • Define and manage budget responsibility on existing clients, including meeting and exceeding budget and profitability targets

Personal experience/ specification:
