We are seeking a dynamic Associate Director to join our growing ESG Advisory team based in the UK. The Associate Director will play a key and influential role with a focus on nurturing and growing our ESG Advisory services, through business and client development and managing team members. Our Europe team sits within our global ESG Strategic Advisory technical discipline with offices in London, Santiago, Melbourne, New York, San Francisco and Singapore.

With a proven track record of working in the ESG field, the successful applicant will be an integral part of the team with responsibilities ranging from developing key client relationships, project oversight and delivery through to business development and coaching and developing a growing team. A key aspect of the role will be developing and delivering our work across our core service areas of ESG strategy (materiality assessments, strategy development); Social and community impact and ESG disclosures & reporting. The Associate Director will also contribute to Corporate Citizenship’s European growth strategy, working closely with the regional management team.

You will be supported by an experienced Director and broader senior management team who share an ambition to create positive social and environmental impact through client work.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client management

  • Develop key client relationships, understanding client needs and growing relationships
  • Oversee and deliver projects across key ESG Advisory service areas, particularly ESG strategy and Social & Community Impact
  • Manage client teams to ensure great client work is delivered

Team management

  • Coach and develop team members, including line management responsibilities
  • Contribute to ensuring appropriate resource allocation across projects

Business & service development

  • Manage development of client proposals, identifying and winning new opportunities and prospects.
  • Support and oversee continued development of our service offerings and growth strategy. Support the development of our know-how, tools, methodologies and thought leadership.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Proven track record of working with corporates or other organisations to deliver ESG-related projects (e.g. materiality, strategy development).
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate confidently with clients, explain complex information & produce high-quality deliverables
  • Exceptional analytical skills – ability to work with quantitative and qualitative data
  • Strong experience in managing client teams to deliver projects

Desirable

  • Experience of developing and coaching team members
  • Track record of winning new business or relevant transferable skills (e.g. prospecting, pitching, scoping)
  • Experience of developing ESG service-related tools, methodologies
