Nice to have a break from our political meltdown in the newspapers. Yesterday’s Times obliges with an eight-page supplement Social Mobility Index: Employers engage a new business class.
A subject I am interested in. I tucked in greedily. I got indigestion.
Why?
It was akin to being force-fed a diet of magic-circle law firms. Eighteen of the 50 companies taking most action on social mobility in 2017 were law firms.
Well good for them.
But what a depressing thought about the rest of British industry and commerce.
