Alexia Koch

Managing Consultant

Areas of Expertise:
As a trained anthropologist with 7+ years’ experience working across both the non-profit and corporate sectors, I am passionate about bridging the gap between corporate strategies and the expectations and needs of people and planet. I work across a range of services such as ESG strategy development, Materiality Assessments and stakeholder engagement, Just Transition planning, and transparent reporting including Independent Assurance.

Background and Client Experience:
I have worked with NGOs in India, Switzerland, and the United States, and corporate clients operating across a wide range of industries and regions such as Novartis, GSK, Holcim, L’Oréal, Unilever, JTI, ConvaTec, and OryxEnergies.

I hold an MSc in Anthropology and Development Management from the London School of Economics.

Person I most admire:
While difficult to pinpoint a single individual, two noteworthy women in sustainability that I admire are: Kate Raworth for her activism against traditional economic models that are incompatible with planetary boundaries and social needs; and B. Lorraine Smith for her thought leadership on ‘matereality,’ a provocative challenge to traditional materiality assessments and reporting.
