Areas of Expertise
The majority of both my academic and professional career has been focused on food systems, from ecology and farming practices to food waste and consumer behavior. I have experience in supply chain management, internal sustainability strategy and data management, CRM/ERP software implementation and system data migrations, and in higher education with specializations in ecology, strategy, and systems thinking. I enjoy creative problem solving using new technologies and teaching via workshops & courses to help drive change.
Background
Before joining Corporate Citizenship, I had eight years of work experience, with five years focused on sustainability higher education at the University of Michigan and three years in supply chain and internal ESG reporting/strategy in the Quick Service Restaurant industry. While in the QSR industry, I managed projects focused on waste reduction in manufacturing and supply chain, expansion of quality programs for manufacturing facilities, and data benchmarking for the company’s first public sustainability report. I received both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Michigan, most recently completing a dual MBA/MS from the Erb Institute.
Person I most admire
People who are so enthusiastic about their art and passions that it becomes infectious for others. I think specifically of LeVar Burton and his love for literature and sharing that, or Sir David Attenborough and the love for nature he’s shared with so many.
