Background:
I studied a BSc in Geography at Aberystwyth University, with an integrated year abroad in Finland. Having graduated, I completed an MSc in Environmental Sciences in Umea University, Sweden. Both my theses focused on heavy legacy metal in river environments and riparian zones, which has given me practical experience with both field and laboratory work. Since finishing my studies, I interned at Earth Active, a small ESG advisory company, working on ESG and due diligence projects, as well as climate risk assessments and carbon auditing.

Client and Project Experience:
I supported client focused work on 18 projects across 16 countries, throughout Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, central Asia, sub–Saharan Africa and Asia – Pacific. Clients ranged from development banks, such as the World Bank, to private corporations, including Tesco. I was fortunate to work across multiple sectors, including oil and gas, mining and extraction, infrastructure and pharmaceutical.

Person I most admire:
I am inspired by Indigenous people around the world, who despite only making up 6% of the global population, protect more than 50% of the world’s land mass and around 80% of all biodiversity. They have been at the forefront of the fight against deforestation and oil drilling for many decades, but often go unnoticed and ignored. I admire their understanding and respect for the Earth and truly believe that Indigenous knowledge and their traditional practices are integral to combatting climate change and environmental disaster.
