Areas of Expertise:
I have worked in the sustainability and responsible business sector for nearly 8 years. I have experience working with clients to deliver annual sustainability reporting, develop responsible business strategies and respond to investor surveys/certification programmes such as CDP, the Workforce Disclosure Initiative and B Corp. I have supported companies with greenhouse gas accounting (scopes 1, 2 and 3) and setting science-based targets.
Background:
I started my career working in the renewable energy sector for three years, this role sparked my interest in a just transition for decarbonisation of our energy sector and wider economy. Following this I worked at Business in the Community, supporting member organisations through assessment of their responsible business performance across material topics, identifying gaps, best practice and areas to improve.
Prior to joining Corporate Citizenship, I was working in sustainability consultancy for a charity called Bioregional supporting businesses, including retailers, to create sustainable products and services and understand their environmental and social impacts.
Client and Project Experience:
My most recent projects have covered delivering annual GHG assessments and wider sustainability reporting for a number of corporate clients. I was also supporting a product design company through its B Corp assessment, helping to develop its approach to sustainability across key areas of supply chain management and to quantify the environmental impacts of its products.
I have worked with clients in a range of sectors including retail, food and beverage, health and social care and engineering. Some of the businesses I have recently worked with include Kingfisher, wilko, Voyage Care and NG Bailey.
Person I most admire:
Those who continue to promote a solutions-based approach and remain positive when facing the growing challenges of the climate emergency. This includes Mike Bernes-Lee who is a leading expert in carbon footprinting for supply chains. His books, including How Bad Are Bananas? The Carbon Footprint of Everything, make the concepts of carbon footprinting and systemic change more accessible, engaging and useful for a wider audience.
