Rebecca Walker

Communications Advisor
Areas of Expertise:
I consider myself a socially and environmentally conscious professional, skilled in corporate communications, commercial strategy, partnership building and business development, with significant experience helping organisations grow and thrive during periods of change and development.

Background:
I started my career in the brand communications and experiential events space, working at agencies with global, household-name clients. In the early days, my responsibilities focused around business development and account management and I was fortunate enough to work with a lot of talented creative thinkers on global, and often groundbreaking, projects.

While it was an exciting time, in 2017 I decided to go on a journey of purpose, taking the skills and experience I had gained and committing to exercising them for purely purpose-led and future-focused organisations. Since then, I have worked for a number of impact driven organisations across the training and development, renewable energy, ESG metrics and overall sustainability spaces, with a focus on moving the dial on sustainable development in the corporate world.

Client and Project Experience:
During my time in brand communications, I was fortunate to work with recognisable names across the mainly tech and automotive spaces, such as Cisco, Tableau, Sony, Peugeot, Skoda and BMW.

Since working in sustainability, I have worked with the likes of Tesco, Airbnb, Sky, Abel & Cole and Reach PLC, as well as in partnership with the likes of the Capitals Coalition, WBCSD, THE ICC, The Climate Group, and Edie.

Most recently, I have been running my own business as an independent communications and business development consultant, working with influential thought leaders such as Pavan Sukhdev, CEO & Founder of GIST, Carl Pratt, CEO & Founder of FuturePlanet, Gillian Benjamin, Founder of MakeTomorrow and, of course, the highly respected senior team at Corporate Citizenship.

Person I most admire:
People who lead with empathy, no matter how big the challenge.
